Fur and Flowers For A Winter’s Day

Happy January!

So I am back in Canada for a little visit and it’s chilly and snowy – just the way I hoped it would be. I figured this was a good opportunity to bring out my favourite old vintage find, the leopard print coat. I found this coat in a hole in the wall shop down in Kensington Market (which for those of you who don’t know, is Toronto’s vintage hotspot) and I had the collar replaced with a stiff silk to give it a new edge. Underneath I wore a few new pieces that I got on a quick Sunday trip to Buffalo, NY. Sometimes the US just takes the cake for shopping and they have a Torrid store which makes me so happy. Today’s theme was kind of pin up inspired 🙂

Fur Collar Cardigan – Torrid

Rose Tank Top – Torrid

Black Stretch Skirt – Charlotte Russe

Tights – Spanx

Black Heels – New Look (Old Collection)

And now a silly photo for your viewing pleasure:

and my new Betsey Johnson necklace!

I’m gearing up for the London Blogger meet up on February 4th so in anticipation I am going to do my best to blog more frequently while I am home in Canada. I can’t wait to see you all in a couple of weeks!

OOTD: I want to ride my bicycle!

Hello lovelies!

Here is an outfit that I wore on a day where I really wasn’t sure if the weather people were telling the truth. It was supposed to be 20 degrees in Paris but I was sure that in the evening while I was out, it would go back down, so I pulled out the flannel shirt! As I have said before. plaid flannel shirt are one of my favourite things – it’s definitely the Canadian in me trying to get out.

Shirt – Evans

Skirt – H&M

Tights – Spanx

Cloth Bag – The Nottinghill Shopping Bag (Bought on Portobello Road in London)

Sneakers – no name (8 euro cheap shoes)

Thanks for stopping by!!

What I wore today…

Hey everyone!

So Paris has been ultra-strange weather wise lately, and after several chilly days, it randomly went back up to 21 degrees. I thought this was a sign that I could get a couple of more wears out of my beloved Evans  Ruby Belle collection dress. I bought this dress at the end of the summer off the sale rack and tried to squeeze in as many summery days with it as I could but felt it wasn’t enough. Today I fall-ed it out with black tights and a light cardigan from Uniqlo(who by the way make wonderful cardigans.)  I had no time for a morning photo so instead took them when I arrived home – excuse my crinkly dress.

I absolutely love this dress and will probably try and convince myself all winter that it is suitable to be worn despite the sunny flamingo birds.

I paired it with a simple  pair of all black suede oxford style shoes from Andre, featured on an old blog here and my usual black H&M black bag, that is in rough shape and in need of replacing, so I am not showing you it 🙂 My tights are Spanx – and I love them. I will do a post about them later to tell you why, because for me, they are the be all and end all of tights.

Hope everyone had a delightful day!
